About Renvar
A Canadian technology company building the infrastructure autonomous systems require before institutions will trust them.
Renvar is a Canadian technology company building the infrastructure required for artificial intelligence to act on behalf of people: sovereign memory, verifiable identity and auditable authority. On that foundation the company builds products for consumer, enterprise and industrial markets worldwide, and extends them into the physical world through robots, buildings, grids and trading venues.

The premise
The hard part of agentic AI was never the intelligence. It is the layer that decides what an agent is allowed to do.
Renvar was founded on a single observation: the difficult part of agentic AI is not the intelligence. Models became capable quickly and will continue to improve without our contribution. What has not been built is the layer beneath them — the one that determines what an agent is permitted to do, under whose authority, with what memory, and leaving what record.
That layer is not a feature added to a product. It has to be the first thing built, and it has to be identical for every product that follows, or the result is a company that is in reality ten companies sharing a logo. Renvar therefore built Symbiosis Core first: four contracts — Identity, Memory, Audit, Agent — and a rule that products may depend on the core and never on each other.
Everything visible follows from that decision. A messenger that has become a personal agent. A payment protocol that allows that agent to spend within limits its owner has set. An operating layer that places the same agent inside a robot. A multi-agent audit platform that reads a construction project as fourteen specialists would. A suite that carries a family through inheritance and relocation. An orchestration layer that dispatches thousands of batteries as a single asset. From the outside they appear unrelated. From the inside they are the same four contracts, applied to different markets.
Renvar is Canadian by incorporation and global by design. The products serve internationally mobile households, institutional clients and public bodies, galleries selling into markets on the other side of the world, and utilities whose regulators will not accept a decision that cannot be explained. No product assumes that the user, the regulator and the counterparty share a jurisdiction.
Commitments
Five commitments made before the first product was written.
Contracts before products
Every product sits on the same four core contracts — Identity, Memory, Audit, Agent. Products depend on the core, never on each other. A new capability ships without rewriting the platform underneath it.
The agent proposes, the human decides
Delegated authority is bounded, revocable and recorded. An agent cannot widen its own mandate, exceed its limit, or continue acting after revocation. These constraints are enforced in code, not asserted in policy.
Memory belongs to the person
Context is a sovereign asset. Encrypted, isolated by category, and portable between models and assistants. When the assistant changes, the memory moves with the individual. It belongs to them, not to the platform.
Built to be audited
Regulated industries do not procure systems they cannot inspect. Every analysis, dispatch decision and payment mandate produces a structured, examinable record, concluding with a named human approval.
Global from the first release
No product assumes that the user, the regulator and the counterparty share a jurisdiction. Multiple languages and cross-border operation are release-one requirements, not a localisation project undertaken later.
How we are organised
Four divisions and a research group.
Divisions are grouped by the market the work serves. The platform core sits beneath all of them; the research group sits ahead of all of them.
Core & protocols
Symbiosis Platform
The shared substrate: identity, memory, audit and agent contracts, the operating system that puts agents inside machines, and the protocol that lets an agent spend money within limits a human set.

Consumer
Personal AI
Applications used daily by an international consumer audience: a messenger that has become a personal agent, and an application that turns the architecture in front of you into a narrated account of it.

Regulated & professional work
Enterprise AI
Multi-agent analysis for professional work in which error carries material cost: construction and cost documentation, legal and public-funding procedure, and narrative structure in screen production.

Careers
We hire engineers who build infrastructure intended to outlast the products above it.
Backend and protocol engineers, applied AI engineers, robotics and control specialists, and product designers capable of presenting an audit trail as a feature rather than a compliance obligation. We work with people wherever they are based.
Partnerships
Pilots, integrations and infrastructure deals.
Utilities and aggregators, institutional clients conducting documentation review at scale, galleries and auction houses, robotics manufacturers, and platform teams requiring agent identity, memory or bounded payment authority beneath a product of their own — in any market.
